Our Camargue Horses

At the pony centre we have a lot of different breeds. One breed in particular is called Camargue.

Our Ponies such as Aiglon, Raboliot, Athos, Numba, Nuna, Seth and Vectrix are all Camargue.

The Camargue horse is an ancient breed of horse indigenous to the Camargue area in southern France. Its origins remain relatively unknown, although it is generally considered one of the oldest breeds of horses in the world.

These horses are the traditional ridden by the guardians, Europe's only 'cowboys'. They are known for their stamina, agility and beautiful grey color. Their hight is between 13.2 to 14.2 hh so they are ideal for children and small riders. And they are known as calm and intelligent horses.
